Looking at a few postings but haven't found anything too recent,
Thinking of getting the JasJar, how have people found it, practicle??
Size - sounds like most people have another phone aswell
Email any problems receiving/sending?
I just want straight honest answers without the commerical spin.
What sort of software are people running on them (work wants me to get something that can running our invoicing software)
We are with Vodafone so any network issues?? How is the download/upload speeds?
Any advice or info would be appreciated

I have one, and use as my primary phone. My other device is a TNZ Apache, which is for data use only.

Email works well, and I have no problems with the keyboard, great one for that matter.

Battery life can be short though, specially if you have push e-mail configured and use the device heavily for web browsing, like I do sometimes. Also it's not light, but if you have a man bag...

I like how Jasjar look and work, and I was "wanting" it until UMPC/UX came out which got me thinking more on the way I would use all these devices. I'm pretty much settled on the idea of getting a 3G smartphone, and eventually an UX/UMPC and use that for my everday data communication tool.

I would get Jasjar, if only the browsers support on it can be as closely similar to desktop as possible. I know Opera and Netfront etc are available as alternative, and I like how Opera works on it too. But still doesn't quite give the similar experience as you expect on desktop, unless websites start to aware/notice mobile devices more.

Jasjar as itself is a great device, I had used it for a short while few months ago, and would fit me better if it is not that pricey. For a pricetag like that, i'd rather pay more to get UX + 3G smartphone and have my windows desktop and my application wherever I go.

I have a JasJar for work (couldn't justify cost for personal use only). Good for what it is - PDA first, phone second. Bit big and bulky for everyday use, but manageable.

VGA screen is good, but make sure Vodafone test your software before you buy as the software I use (for asset management) had to have the code "tweaked" to run correctly in VGA.

Battery life sucks if you use all the features, but not too bad if you turn off bluetooth.

I'm waiting for Vodafone to make a decsion on the HTC TyTN (Hermes) as I think I could forego the VGA for a smaller form factor (for me anyway).

Im happy with mine-personal use only not business.
Downside it is big but I have an aircraft grade aluminium case which protects but adds more bulk.
It does fit in your trouser pocket if you dont mind an extra "Bulge"

The keyboard is excellent-glows a nice orange colour in the dark
With a 1 Gb SD card I have heaps of software on it and a few mp3s, podcasts, games, videos and the works.
I had an issue after I did the latest firmware upgrade where it became quite unstable-doing weird things like the screen turn funny colours, hard to boot in the mornings, but somehow it has reverted back to being stable again.
The camera is not the best but ok-I have dslr's in anycase but useful to have if you dont have a camera handy.

Email connection is good-speeds as far as the UMTS network is not as fast as the TNZ EVDO but there is a new Vodafone upgrade comming out in a few months-not sure how /if the Jasjar can be adapted to this one-Im sure MF can comment here.
I run with a BT headset as well and all in all im happy with it
