I have Imate Jasjarr, I establish ActiveSync via BT .I read some where that it is possible to surf Internet via Active Sync(BT) on my Imate after making up dialup internet connection on my desktop, reason being i can save GPRS counter bill when I am at home.

I selected ActiveSync>connection settings through "The internet" option and then i dialup  my ISP from desktop and establish internet connection of my desktop, then i opened I.E on my Imate jasjar but the page does not load and I get error message saying that connection was lost.Whereas at the same time I am able to surf on my desktop.

Can u guide me where I am going wrong?

My another question is I tried other way to establish Internet conncetion via BTDUN from my Imate I first setup BTDUN AND opened My bluetooth places on desktop;I can see icon BT DUN.

I want to know whether this will dial tel number from my imate or from my desktop. As dialup number(1311) of my ISP
cannot be dialed from mobile(local service provider restriction) there is no issue on BT PORT etc.

Stepwise guidance shall be very helpful

Try establishing the Internet connection before you plug the Jasjar. Also, for the connection lost message, make sure you are close to your computer. Bluetooth has a very short range, don't try using it more than 5 meters away from your computer, and certainly not through walls.

I recommend you install VxUtil on your Pocket PC and use it to test your connection. Also, on your Pocket PC, open File Explorer, browse to \Windows and tap on welcome.exe. Follow the instructions and try using Internet Explorer again.

As for the BTDUN, if you are not able to dial the ISP number from your mobile phone, then you will not be able to connect. In most cases you can only connect via GPRS or 3G (*99# is the default number for this).
