For new members of EB games, looks like there will be additional trade credit if the trade in occurs in the week before launch. I received an email stating that the trade in bonus would be 10% 3-9th November, with double points on any accessory's / games traded at the same time.

NEXT-GEN VIP TRADE WEEK: EB Trade Policy applies.
Double EB World Bonus applies to games and accessories only. EB World Level 1 bonus increased from 0% to 10%. Not to be combined with any other offers. Offer valid 3rd – 9th November 2020.

So, it looks like for the Xbox One X trade in I will be receiving $385 instead of $350 if I trade in during that timeframe. Quite happy with that.

I traded my Xbox One X in today, but like a big dork missed the part where the bonus only applies to games and accessories only, so its $350 regardless.

Still thats nearly half of the new one paid off, so I'm happy.

That's a shame. The way I read it was, that you got double points on any games and accessories you traded with the console, and, your level 1 bonus gets set from 0% to 10%, the double points for games and accessories was separate from the 10% earn ratio.

I can't see where the 10% only applies to games and accessories. Perhaps I'm only reading what I want to see?

Sorry buddy, I think you might be reading into it. I wish you right though!

Now that I have my slightly larger glasses on, the way I read the wording is "Double your EB World bonus on games and accessories when traded with your PS4 or Xbox One" and because 0% doubled is still 0%, "Level 1 bonus is increased from 0 to 10%" for the same games-and-accessories-only deal.

so its looking like the second series-x shipment may not arrive until December 23rd according to the warehouse. ugh. Was hoping it would be late November. If that's the case I might cancel my series-x pre order and just wait till next year. If I can get my desposit back from ebgames i'll just put the money towards some ps5 games.

Yup, I asked the same thing about my second shipment XSX pre-order when I was in there today, the best they would commit to was "before Christmas, probably in 2-3 weeks".

I still traded in my One X since the only game I was really excited about currently is Cyberpunk 2077 and that has slipped to the 10th of December anyway.

Is anyone who Pre-ordered with EB Games not trading in an xbox?

If not, EB Games are offering a good amount for a OG Xbox One, more than you would get trying to sell it on it online yourself. Anyone willing to help a brother out to get that extra bit of cash?😉

How much are they offering for a OG Xbox One? I thought it was only the One X and S?

For those of you interested on this launch - release below including some details on the Spark offer:

Today Xbox ANZ has announced a livestream countdown for its fans on both sides of the Tasman, and across the world, taking place on November 9 at 11:00pm NZDT to officially usher in the next generation of gaming. Set in glorious Queenstown, minutes before the clock strikes midnight, the livestream will culminate in an official Xbox takeover where Queenstown will be transformed into ‘Greenstown’.

Due to international time zones, New Zealand will be the first country in the world to see the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Queenstown, one of the only places in the world that matches the visual fidelity of the next generation of Xbox consoles, will host a dream-like ‘Greenstown’ reveal that will begin from dusk, all framed by The Remarkables mountain range.

Fans can tune into the very special ‘Greenstown’ livestream on November 9 at 11:00pm NZDT across Xbox ANZ’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch.

Featuring a first look at all new gameplay, the livestream will be a celebration of the Australian and New Zealand gaming community. Powered by the Xbox Series X, fans can tune in to see Eivor, a fierce Viking warrior, explore the dynamic and beautiful open world against the brutal backdrop of England’s dark ages in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla. Those who tune in will also see the icy frontier of Europa from Destiny 2: Beyond Light, which holds many lost secrets from the past, including the dark power of Stasis. Guardians will be able to embrace the darkness from November 11.

The hour-long live show will include guest appearances from Xbox Executives and some of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognisable content creators, and so much more.

Dan Johnson, Xbox Lead for ANZ said: “We’re excited to be celebrating the launch of both the Xbox Series X and S. New Zealand and Australia will be the first in the world to bring our next-generation consoles to our fans. So, we want to celebrate this momentous event in style. I’d like to invite our Aussie and Kiwi fans to join us on an engaging livestream as we transform the adventure capital of the world into ‘Greenstown’ and broadcast it right into the comfort of their homes.”

With Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, they will provide unparalleled performance, speed and compatibility for the next generation of consoles and innovative new features that enable gamers to jump into more expansive, lifelike worlds even faster.

Xbox Series X ($799 NZD RRP) and Xbox Series S ($549 NZD RRP) both launch in Australia and New Zealand on November 10. Please check in with your local retailers directly for more details on availability in your area.

New Zealand fans can also purchase a next-gen console via Xbox All Access through Xbox’s partnerships with Spark, offering monthly payment packages starting at $39/month over 24 months, interest free

billgates: Did they say that all EBGames stores are opening at 7AM or just select few? I got a phone call from my local EBGames that it be will from 9AM to 7PM on 10th November as they cancelled the midnight launch. I wonder if they have now update timings to open at 7AM instead?

I would say it varies by store. EB Games Johnsonville said that they would open at 8AM (normal opening is 9AM) when they phoned me.

When I traded my xbox one x, I asked to confirm the time that the store would be opening. The person at the store told me that store would not be opening until 9am. I mentioned that on the phone call that they said that the store would open at 8am, but, he said that that was incorrect, and, that they would not be opening until 9am.

I would like to think that person working there was mistaken, but, he indicated that he would be the one opening the store, so, who knows?

I'm not at all jealous of those who are getting their consoles this week XD hope it lives up to the hype. Will be nice to finally get some non press/media first impressions/reviews. Wont be getting my series-x till December. At least my PS5 is coming on thursday. Oddly enough it looks like i'm going to be playing the large majority of AAA titles this holiday on PC still. I'm probably gonna sub to Uplay+ for the Ubisoft titles(WatchDogs Legion and AC Valhalla), Destiny 2 Beyond Light and Godfall I will also be playing on pc. Miles Morales is probably the only game i'm playing on console. lol

I don't know if someone had already posted about this earlier in the thread, but someone received their Xbox Series S early in Canada and posted that only 364GB is available for games + apps.

It's a bit stink really for a "digital" console, but I guess this is where they were differing from Sony's strategy of two versions of the same console and instead trying to target two different gaming segments; "serious" gamers are going to go for the XSX and "casual"/kids/people looking for an all-in-one streaming media box to the XSS.
