You can then work on the expanded dex. I've read that there are male and female versions of some mons and there are at least 26 different unowns. Should keep you going until Gen 3

I'm hoping for a Unown event at some stage, or it'll be Gen7 before we catch them all, lol.

I am already doing the male and female thing; trying to one of each unevolved form that is at least Level 20 and has 82.2% IV or higher (egg hatches are good for this), just in case breading ever does become a thing.
Also trying to keep 2x evolutions worth of candy for all species.

2 Evo items back to back - yet another Metal Coat (pretty useless, but not as useless as Up-grade) and a Sun Stone meaning I can upgrade Sunkern to Sunflora

Evolved Cyndaquil into my first Typhlosion - got Solar Beam as the charge move *sigh*

Evolved Larvitar into Tyranitar and got Bite/Crunch *yay* - just need 45 more candy to make him a power house

On the way to work managed to get my first Kings Rock, so will evolve Slowbro into SlowKing and fingers crossed

I actually really like Solar Beam as a charge move, but it suffers from not having STAB with Typhlosion.

I caught a 171 Magikarp with 84% IVs last night at the water spawn point on the neighbouring creek. I couldn't believe it - it's almost at the very top of the CP curve. Just need about 40 more candies to evolve her (she's a girl) but I can usually grab 4-6 karps a day so it won't take me too long, with careful application of Pinap berries.

And my Slowking got the worst moveset ... typical.

I only need four more Pokemon to complete the Dex; 2 using evolution items and 2 via extreme luck including Unown
I did however get a wild Mareep yesterday that will evolve into an "ok" Ampharos - 110 candy to go/550km!

That's why people often suffer from FOE (fear of evolving)! After a tipoff on our local sightings page yesterday I bagged myself a 2671CP wild Gyarados with Bite/Hydro Pump. She was only 60% IV but still a useful attacker. Possibly my nicest wild catch of a fully evolved Pokemon.

I was hoping for a St Patrick's Day event, but time is rapidly running out. Surely it's as big, if not a bigger celebration than Thanksgiving, given that so many countries observe it? What was the "save your candies" comment made by the Niantic employee after the DICE awards? Why has there been no app update this week? Enquiring minds need to know.

Leveled up to Level 36 yesterday; took a month (ish) - 20th Feb to 22nd March

Finally got a Dragon Scale from a PokeStop so I can do my Kingdra evolution, once I find a decent Horsea (seems I have either evolved and transfered or just transferred any egg hatch or high IV Horsea/Seadra) - candy count is not an issue

A water Pokemon event started around 10am today and lasts for a week, the nearby list is covered in them!

It's an exciting day! Shiny Magikarp/Gyarados, water spawns everywhere, including Dratini, and the chance for my second ever Lapras. And nests migrate in 45 minutes. That's it, I'm taking the rest of the week off.

That explains the sudden increase in water Pokemon on the lunch walk, even though it was around the Wellington waterfront.  Way higher than usual for things like Dratini and flappy sea pancakes...I mean Mantine.  Didn't see any Lapras around though.

Installed the newest update via APK, then rolled back after PoGo Plus started giving me constant red light and was ignoring Pokemon and Stops.

Turned of auto update of apps until resolved (but suspect it will not be resolved, but the app will be a forced update)

My PoGo Plus is working fine with the latest update, 0.59.1

Lucky you!

0.57.4 is working perfectly for me, so I am happy to stay on the current version.
