Maybe I finally have a reason to make a Twitter account
and I am now on Twitter ... have sent a message to NinaticHelp for help

and I am now on Twitter ... have sent a message to NinaticHelp for help
And this morning they replied. Standard generic "thanks, we are looking into this" but being public I might be able to hit them up about it f nothing is done soon
Random red "error" is confirmed to be the Plus attempting to do an action (PokeStop or Pokemon) and failing; standing perfectly still for 10-15 second sees the Plus re-attempt the same action, but who has time for that...
Who is taking advantage of the double XP event, half price lucky eggs and egg changes for the Easter event?
Due to the poor weather in this part of the world, my weekend playtime was limited but I went through 7 lucky eggs, did a bunch of mass evolutions and cleared out my old eggs, adding over 700,000XP in the process (still just over 500,000XP until Level 37 though).
The egg changes have been most welcome, with a entire bunch of Pokemon being moved from 5km and 10km eggs and 5km eggs now containing Gen 2 starters
Hoping those changes stick around, but I am assuming it is a limited time thing. The only downside is that I have 9x 2km eggs and have told myself never to use paid incubators on 2km eggs
Yes, I've managed to get from Level 30 to almost Level 32, thanks to a couple of mass evolutions, including several new-to-pokedex Pokemon that I'd been saving up. I burned through one batch of incubators pretty fast and am now trying to ration them. I get a decent amount of drift at home so hatch some in the infinite during the evening. I'm hoping the Gen2 starters stay in 5km eggs - only 2km changes were mentioned for the event, so maybe it's a permanent feature? Also, I noticed Porygon has moved to 10km - hatched one the other day.

Got over to Level 37 while walking to work; spun Stops and caught Pokemon using the Plus and evolved what I was catching as they came in.
Not very efficient, but I had cleared out most of my available Pokemon doing evolutions the night before ..
Managed to do about 1.3 million XP during the event. Compared to some that was nothing however
Back to the grind of catching and releasing in order to build up those candy stocks again, while cursing Niantic for doing nothing about the Go Plus problems for an entire month

A nice event overall Eggstravaganza
Hatched from 2km eggs:
Smoochum (Now a Jynx with Frost Breath / Avalanche)
Lapras – Water Gun / Blizzard
Elekid - Meh
Togepi - Meh
Aerodactyl – nice to finally have one with high ivs but got Steel moves so unlikely to be utilized
Scyther (Sadly don’t have Metal Coat yet for Scizor)
Also mass evolved to reach L32 and in doing so got:
Meganium with Vine Whip / Solar Beam
Machamp with Counter / Dynamic Punch (Coming 4 U Blissey!)
Pupitar so will buddy it to reach Tyrannitar
Am starting to get into regular gym battles so very focused on the IVs and movesets to counter the typical Dragonite / Gyarados / Blissey / Tyrannitar defenders
Will await these forthcoming Gym updates with interest
Looks like the end of the event brought hidden server side changes to the game - Japan has the nearby tracker like the rest of the world (poor sods) and IV's and Movesets are randomized to trainer level (rather than being fixed)
Quite the shakeup, I must say! I hunt with my sister and my son (L32 and L28 respectively) and I think L25 and above all see the same IVs still, so we can still do the thing where the person with the most Pokeballs goes for something and then tells the others if it's worth the effort, LOL.
I believe Japan has a very good scanner due to the previous lack of Nearby, so I expect the sudden loss of Sightings will be addressed by continual use of that.

^ Congrats
2 weeks since I went to Level 37, and I have only just hit 10% of the XP needed for Level 38
All these PoGo Plus issues have really slowed down my game play.
Have been thinking about using some more candy and stardust in order to take some of "the big 7" past Level 30 and onwards to Level 35 in order to have a bunch more Pokemon that sit above CP3000 (rather than the two I currently have ... and Tyranitar is better as an attacker rather than defender). Stardust isn't really an issue as I have 2.4 million saved up, but candies are ... can never farm enough Snorlax/Dratini/Larvitar etc and I've been rather slack at hitting up Exeggcute/Rhyhorn nests
I have stardust envy! I'm holding off powering anything up until I see how the gym rework might affect the Pokemon I have. I'm hoping that might drop in the next week. The game master file was updated today, which normally precedes a big change (although nobody who checked it could find anything strikingly different).
There's an alternative to the Go Plus on the market now which, by all accounts, is pretty good. I think Trainer Tips is ordering one - his Plus wouldn't connect at all the day we went hunting with him.

I would expect that knock off Go Plus to be pretty easy to disable via an update .. that is, if Niantic ever updates the game again.
Its been over a month since app version 0.61.0 was released, and with no many bugs ... but nothing ..
Only a grass event to make everyone forget about the issues (and to spend money on 6 hour lures)
On Friday I got a reply from one of the many support requests I had put in for the Go Plus since app version 0.59.1 broke it.
Typically it was a copy and paste "have you reset it" answer which was ******* useless! Then this morning I received a how was our support feedback request, so I told them how useless they were
