It gives me great pleasure to announce AuckLAN 5 on October 11-13 at St. Anne's Community Hall, Brown's Bay.

We've been flat-stick working on making it bigger and better in every possible way:
- Increased attendee capacity (60 seats)!
- Upgraded registration, seating and ticket purchasing on our website thanks to Excell Studios!
- Improved intranet and support ticket system!
- Addition of PS3s thanks to BattleOps!
- More tournaments and heaps of new sponsors with huge prizes!

Tournaments and Prizes
(All tournaments can be registered for through BattleOps tournament system via the Tournaments link on our site)
* nzGN FPS Marathon - All-on-all format best of 4 games: TF2, CSS, DODS and UT3. First Prize is 1 x Microsoft Sidewinder X8 Gaming Mouse and 1 x Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard, 2nd place gets 1 x Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard.
* SFFReview Minecraft Build Tournament - Contest is MC creative, best build as judged by SFFReview staff on Saturday evening wins the prize. Prize: 1x Aywun A1-1001 ITX case, Heavily modified. Custom Digital Camo paint, Sleeved 250w PSU, 16x2 line character LCD display, 120mm CoolerMaster fan
* NZGL BF3 4v4 Squad Rush Tournament - Prizes are 4 x Kingston V300 120GB SSDs for the winning team.
* PS3 challenger series - BattleOps Admin team form a 6 or 5 man team, challenge teams on CODNZ. For that Saturday prior to the day, they run a battle schedule where CODNZ mercinary teams, book a time slot to play them, over the entire day. The top team will get a massive XP bonus on BattleOps, and the player with the single highest score per battle against them will get $100 cash. The Admin with the highest individual score of the day, will get their entry fee refunded by Battle Ops.
* RoadKill Beer Pong - Sponsored by RoadKill, there are 4 boxes of imported beer up for grabs to the winning duo. Tournament will take place on the Friday night.
* EasyWeb Trackmania Nations Forever lap time challenge - Prizes for best time are 1 x Microsoft X6 Sidewinder Gaming Mouse and 1 x Limited Edition Xbox 360 wireless controller.
* Draytek Racing Comp - Game is GRID (the original) racing. If enough people enter, the format will be heats with a final on one track. Otherwise we do a best of 3 tracks and declare a winner. Prize is a DrayTek Vigor 2760N ADSL/VDSL Router & Firewall with Wireless N, 3G/4G USB Modem Support, QoS, PPTP and IPSec VPN router (up to 2 channels).

And to top it all off we are proud to announce our new media partner, Likewise Studios who will be covering the whole event and following it up with some highlights videos and photos.

Prepaid tickets are $30 from The cutoff is Oct 8th. Book your seat now and pay when you're ready, seats are going fast!
Cash sales (on the door) are $40.
We cannot increase our seating above 60 this time around but if we clear 50 ppl paid, we will be seriously looking at moving to North Harbour Stadium for AuckLAN 6.
