so managed to score myself an alpha invite

personal opinion is heroes of micro-transactions

a very League of Legends feel to it, buttons primarily in the same places, cool idea to mount however I think it was more for the $ value earned from buying more mounts.

Awesome that they have so many Heroes to choose from.

would love to hear others opinions if you've managed to get in

the training mission was cool, and the cinematics are awesome :)

I've got in but I haven't got around to playing it yet :p Too busy with uni work and then playing League of Legends (and other games) in my spare time.

Really enjoy playing it single player.

Have tried 2 games online:

First was kinda good - people of similar skill. Not really sure of how the map worked (the mines one) at the time. We came back and won. One person on our team continuously calling us all retards, morons etc because we weren't doing what he said. As I said we won, he finished with gg... retards.

Second I was 20-30 levels away from everyone else - we got utterly rolled. Enemy team just walked around in a death ball killing everyone. I was playing Uther which I hadn't before. Team members were generally ok.

Nice not to have the complexities of the shop, Heroes seem REALLY expensive. Yet another game I suspect would be awesome with a good group.

I am pretty sure I am just too old for MOBAs in general.

I got into tech Alpha a while back. Enjoying it so far, but I keep chopping and changing heroes so much I never level up anything properly.

Some of the things I like so far:

  • Being able to test any hero at any level against Arthas before you splash the cash to buy it.
  • The game does not depend on laning or perfect jungle co-ordination to set up ganks - the map objectives achieve this naturally
  • My PVP experience has been pretty balanced thus far all things considered
  • The map objectives are fun - I like the mines
  • It's absolute eye candy and as a WoW player I'm loving being able to play Boss mobs as Heroes.
  • No map Ping spamming (god I hate that so much)
I know I said PVP is balanced, but I can see a few heroes that might become a problem. Nova is a little too OP considering her range, and combined with stealth that's just verging on broken.

Keen to see if they'll keep adding maps to keep things interesting. So far, it beats LoL hands down imo. :)
