If youre stuck or have questions etc about the game, then feel free to ask me. Ive been playing for 18 months+ on and off and am quite happy to pass on any info I have gained :)

Add "Zonegeek" to your friends list to see when Im online.

For fast questing, I do recommend some add ons such as "Lightheaded" and "TomTom" - some call it cheating, but I call it "a helping hand" - lets you see exactly where to start/finish quests and hints etc in game :)

If theres quite a few newbies, Ill consider holding a WoW class in game somewhere to answer questions "publicly" if you like :)

I have the Titan Panel and Quest helper from a website that has currently flown from my mind they are really helpful. Also got nobags or something but I'm not as big a fan of that

Can use this for finding NPCs (Non Player Characters), & additional information on quests, items, professions etc.  Anything you want to know about, can think of, or simply would like to hear other peoples experiences etc, check here.

Will also contain information on Dungeons, bosses, stategies etc.  So someone should be appointed Stategist, to help with how to deal with tricky fights.  =)

Handy for all modifications (mods) to the game that you can think of, such as pebbles Titan Panel, and Quest Helper.
There are also Class specific mods, such as HealBots for healers, ZHunter cool down timers for hunters etc.
Also, everyone should download and setup OMEN which is a Threat meter.  This is VERY important.  See below.


Threat!  What is it?
Threat (or aggro) is when you walk near, or attack a creature (mob) in game, and it attacks you back.  If someone says, 'I have aggro/threat' they mean, this damn creature/boss is attacking me, get it off me! arghhhh.
I usually just say 'Kinsten, Aggro'

How is Threat generated when there are more than 1 person?
Basically, anyone attacking a creature will generate threat, so if you are in a party, and everyone is attacking the target, you ALL have threat, just some have more threat than others.
And YES, healers, when you heal, that generates threat too.  I know, anoying and unfair, but it makes sense.

Why is Threat important?
As you may know, there are different classes of characters, healers, dps(Damager Per Second), tanks.
A tank is a warrior/paladin/druid that has more defence and special abilities.  This is so they can stand there and TANK or hold a creature/boss while everyone else kills it.
---IMPORTANT---
If the Tank dies, everyone dies
If the Healer healing the Tank dies, the tank will die, and then everyone will die
If you out aggro the Tank, you will die, and then someone else may die too (usually the healer) and then everyone dies

OMEN, shows how much Threat someone has, and where you are in the list of Threat.
It will also sound an allarm and tell you when you are getting close to the top Threat person.  very handy!

Had a couple of ppl PM me lately regarding Wow, please note that I no longer play WoW - the above post is almost 6 years old, I've moved on to more mature games.
