So, I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations:

1) I'd quite like to play Portal 2 with my 11 Year old Son. He has a reasonable laptop, does he need his own steam and copy of the game or can we piggy back him off my account easily?

2) Remember those text-based adventure games from YEARS ago? No pictures and simply commands you typed to interact? Does anyone know of any kid-friendly ones?

3) Boulderdash, any recommendations on a decent remake of this game? PC or Android.

steam share only allows the game to be played on one computer at a time, in most cases.

There are some Steam games that support remote play sharing.

Too Answer some of my own questions:

I found this from years ago: So cool. I recommend highly.

It's from the old Apple Logo Programming Language.

1) Apparently remote play works, haven't had a chance to try it.

not sure if age appropriate but Age of Empires remake is $12 on steam at the moment.  might need 2 copies for LAN but hours of replay.

Grim Fandango Remastered ($8.99) is also listed as a play together game but I didn't know it was co-op /shared so not 100% sure
