It is coming this fall. Zune marketplace will finally be available in NZ. Zune hardware will still only be limited to US and Canada. Prices are prob going to be same as they currently are for US Xbox 360 marketplace users which is $4 for SD and $6 for HD format.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Which is a shame and a mystery... Not everyone has a Xbox 360 but would like to have an on-movie service - I wouldn't mind if they had an option for Zune Marketplace in the Windows 7 Media Center but somehow Microsoft is not doing anything in that front.

Go figure...

streaming 1080 movies seems unlikely for most people at the moment.

Not sure exactly what sort of speed you would need, but I know TiVo reccommend 1.5Mbps for their non-HD content to stream. Streaming HD would, I imagine, need at least 4 times that sort of speed (obviously you can download them overnight but then that is not 'instant').

IIRC average (median) speed in NZ is around 3Mbps.

I read they can taylor the qaulity to your DL speed to avoid buffering.
