HI,

I dont know if anyone can help me. The situation is the following:

I have Windows 7 RTM installed on my computer and Windows 7 codec installed. So the WMP can almost play anything I have on my computer. I also have a PS3 and I setup the media streaming so that I can watch my videos on my TV. Everything works fine but not the MP4 videos. If I ever wanted to stream the MP4 videos I got the data is corrupted message on my PS3 but the same video can be played by WMP 12.

I tried TVersity as well still the same message. TVsercity is better than WMP in the case of media format for my case. Some RMVB can not be streamed to my PS3 using WMP 12 but can be streamed by TVerscity.

It would be appreciated if anyone can help me with this? The mp4 videos are from Apple.
I know PS3 is probably support these format natively but I have to put the viedos in to my usb device first. I hate that, I like the streaming option.

Help please!

thanks
Tony

On the drive you are streaming on try this:
Create a folder which says VIDEO and put it into there :)

I've got mine as such and it works :) it's a weird quirk. If it's not working after that, I recommend PS3 Media PLayer, install that and use the transcoding it offers, it's a good little program

It is alreay in the folder called video.
I can stream most of my videos by using TVercity.
Just don't understand why MP4 does not work.
The mp4 is even supported by PS3 natively

Are they bought from the apple iTunes store? If they are that will be protected and only playable on iTunes or iPods

No there is no DRM. Like I said, WMP can play it

VIDEO has to be in caps or it won't work.

Same with updating the PS3, has to be in the PS3/UPDATE folder on the USB.

if anythigns lower case, it won't work

Does it work if you put the MP4 file onto a USB key? If it does, i'd say Win Media player is the culprit
