2DBoys are having a birthday sale on World of Goo... Normally US$20, you can now pay whatever you like for it (not sure when this offer ends though). Worth a try?

The 4 pack of Borderlands on Steam comes out to about $45NZD each person at the current exchange rate - find some buddies and it's a bit of a deal really...

Also Left 4 Dead 2 comes to the same price with the 4 pack.

Unless it is blocked :P

I find it very hard to find any games to play at work, as most are blocked.

http://freegames.thetechherald.com/ use to be un-blocked, but no more :(

Americas Army 3 is out in beta format. Its a little buggy to say the least but is based on a more simulated style than AA2 and it is cool once you get into it. The best news is its free!!

The other game I want when it comes out is Operation Flashpoint2 its based on a single map that you can if you like run from one side to the other (it will take you 7 hours). You can command a squad to do everything under the sun! It looks awesome so will def be on my xmas wishlist!!

I hired diablo 2 and the expansion from a games store recently and upgraded to the latest incarnation (that doesnt require CD to play) and used the key to play battlenet lol.

Had about a hundred hours of fun(again) for a mere $5. Awesome game even if it is slightly outdated. Far far less of a time sink than wow and you can pick up and play anytime!

The force is strong with this one!

Don't forget about dyson. http://www.dyson-game.com/ It only needs a mouse to play so looks less suspicious if you are at work...

since you are 'cheap' I imagine you want a game whichyou will be able to play for many hours.

You haven't said what kind of game you like, but have you played any of the Total War series? The most recent is Empire Total War and it is Superb, I have racked up well over 50 hours playing it so far.
