Hi all,

I managed to set up the Remote Play feature with my PS3 and my brother's PSP last night.
I just have a few questions regarding it, would love any insight you guys could provide.

1.) Is it not possible to connect the PSP via RP while the PS3 is switched on and idle (ie. on the main XMB screen)? I tried doing this a number of times and keep getting "Connection Error".
Do i have to manually choose the Remote Play function on the PS3 and then attempt to connect on the PSP for it to work?

It works just fine when the PS3 is switched off, it turns the PS3 on and connects successfully etc etc.. but not when its idle on the XMB screen.

2.) Ok this might be a stupid question, but does RP use internet bandwidth when connected via the Private Network option? When connecting i choose 'Private Network' then a screen comes up with the option to choose either my internet modem/router or PLAYSTATION3.
So far i have only chosen the PLAYSTATION3 option and am wondering whether using RP will affect my monthly internet usage? And what happens if i choose my router on the previous screen?

3.) We have two PS3's in the house, can the one PSP be registered to both of them to initiate RP? Or do i have to register the PSP with the specific PS3 that i want to use RP with at the time?

4.) The two PS3's each have seperate PSN accounts, while the PSP is not set up with one. I know that to connect through RP if you are away from home wifi range, you have to go through internet so.. If i log in to PSN on the PSP with the account of ONE of the PS3s will the PSP be consigned to that PSN account permanently? Or can i log out and then go into the PSN account of the second PS3?

I only ask this because i think i read somewhere that once you have a PSN account on a machine, it is consigned to that machine permamently. If thats the case then i dont think i will log the PSP on to PSN.

As you can tell i am pretty new to the whole netwoking scene, but i would really appreciate any help.

Cheers

1) No, have to choose remote play manually on PS3 if turned on.2) Private network to PS3 won't use internet data, unless use Vidzone, or ps3 browser under remote play3) Don't know, as long as PS3's got different names can't see why it won't work.4) Just push triangle on account management on PSP, select delete account. Then create account, there's a check box asking if already existing account when creating so just use that to swap accounts. Just don't forget email address's (account names) and passwords.Done this reply on PS3 so not sure if line breaks will drop each line down or not.

Looked alright before hit post reply button, but came out as one line after posting, line break not the way to do it then, as return on ps3 just takes out of text entry mode.
