From a readers' Q and A column in TV GUIDE: "If we get involved in a nuclear war, would the electromagnetic pulses from exploding bombs damage my videotapes?"

PC only :(

Ive yet to find a horror game on any platform that has made me jump or anything since the original PS1 game, Resident Evil - and even then it was only one part.........

Maybe Ive become de-sensitized to this stuff.....

Silent hill on the ps1 , i played it with surround sound and in the dark, those sounds coming from behind me were really unsettling, and the locker scene made me jump big time

It's on Steam, if you don't need box. (Mind you, it's so cheap, I doubt it'll get a retail release)

not quite sure , but all the sounds were spread around 5 speakers and you have to hear them to explain how unsettling they were

Alien Resurrection on PS1 - now that was a decent scary game, even today it still makes me jump, with the motion tracker bleeping everytime an Alien or Facehugger was nearby.. Scary stuff :)

Console users are obviously using a PC for internet so, providing its good enough specs why not use the pc for gaming as well?

Yeah Ive been on the lookout for a cheap copy :) Im on a tight budget these days so whatever games I buy have got to be something Ill enjoy and last ;)

Im still playing RDR even though Ive finished the main storyline, just so much to do in the game after the story has finished.

I was in that boat, but as per another thread floating around, PC gaming can get expensive for some....and time is an issue for those of us with families. Easier to just fire up a console and get into the game than wait for Windows, wait for the game, oh hold on, major updates required to play online (yes, some consoles do this too but not as much), oh bugger need driver updates to get best quality etc etc... anyway as I said, theres an entire thread about it somewhere.

I gave up PC gaming awhile ago - far easier to play games on a console and also I'm an old school Playstation fanboy from way back ;)

EB games are selling Dead Space for $60 - how cheap do you want to go?? ;)

Just buy it Gavin haha - it's the critically acclaimed best survival horror game of all time.

Who else is playing this game and finds it terrifying!

Oh man just got it the other day, I can only play for about 20min at a time then have to take a break. Its the damn sound that gets to me. I don't know I must be turning into a wuss, first horror game where i can't play without stopping every now and then just to get my senses back. Its going to take me forever to finish it. LOL. Scary!
