Id say ON3 Network as they run and support the only public online gaming servers. GP are large but don't do anything gaming for the community. There forums are pretty bad at times as well.

Yep have to go with ON3 as well.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup.

I know a guy starting up his own:

www.ultimategamers.co.nz

Once it gets enough users on the forums and updated content I think it will be pretty decent.

you sound like you're just too old. most of the game discussions on GP are fine. It is in OD where it gets stupid.

They also have a lot of hardware knowledge, and I find discussions on system building etc to be of a far higher standard than here

I used to spend a lot of time on GP Forums but that was before I found Geekzone :D The people here are much more helpful and definitely know a lot more.

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

in my opinion that depends on the topic.

In terms of gaming hardware I think people here know squat in comparison.

In terms of wider electronics stuff - home theatre etc they know more. I also think the htpc community here is much more knowledgeable.
