personally dont like the look of the TP-Link one, but again it depends on how many ports you need.

Okay I purchased this thing

TP-Link TL-SG1008D 8-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Switch

The TV now flashes up all the time saying network cable has been disconnected.

What’s wrong? Will this not do it either?

If you have got a laptop, plug it into the cable that is/was plug into the tv and see if you have a working ethernet connection. (turn off wireless on laptop)

If you dont have a connection to the internet, see if you can connect to the router itself you got from vodafone/spark or whatever

If you dont have a working connection using your laptop, work you way back from the tv to the ont checking the connections of ether net plug into the socket. I assume the switch has been also plugged into the mains as it requires current
