Have spent a few hours on this matter with no success. Would appreciate your wisdom and experiences.

I use VB104W (slingshot modem) to connect to the net and intended to use HG659B as an access point. It worked well when I had an Airport Express but no luck with the HG659B.

I put the HG659B in Bridge mode (under INTERNET-TR069-ETH-VID-10) and the status shows "connected". Even though, there's no Internet access.

Am I missing something?

Forget bridge mode, that's nothing to do with that you want.

Disable DHCP, give the device an IP on the same /24 subnet your router is giving out (so you can log into the device) and simply plug a cable from the LAN port of your router into the LAN port of the HG659

Reset it to factory defaults, put in your slingshot username and password, thats it.
