Hi Everyone,

I used to have this problem here: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumId=66&topicId=241075 where it would take AGES to load apps and websites such as Facebook (photos only) and Instagram.

I tried the IPV6 disable suggestion in the above post - which seemed to do the trick after a while.  However, this morning I noticed that any photos on Facebook or Instagram, and any Instagram stories won't load AT ALL.

I have the default Fritzbox modem.

I do not think it is an issue with my phone or computer, as when I use these apps at work everything loads much quicker and there are no issues!  Same with using the same phone and same apps when on public WiFi.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks!

You all might want to look at our discussion about this matter over here - https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=85&topicid=245624&page_no=1#2178002

One thing to consider is that when you change your router settings or your DNS, if your connection reset at the same time you might have also got issued a new IP address in one of the IPv4 ranges that *does* work.  So this might have confounded your results (i.e. you changed your DNS settings, it reset your connection, and it started working so it appears it was the DNS change, but that the same time your IPv4 changed to a working address range so it *appeared* that the DNS was the fix).

I can say that for my issue, changing DNS while maintaining the same IPv4 address did not resolve the issue.
