Hi Guys

Looking for suggestions for high speed switches. We have over 1000 mbps coming into the house.

We have multiple devices in rooms but only one LAN port.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

TIA

[Mod edit (MF): remove "unlimited" as it's not related to speed, before people start nitpicking on something unrelated]

kiwiyorkie:

Hi we are unlimited data and speed, we speed test each day and have yet to go below 900 down and up.

On Monday we had 1005mbps which was a surprise.

We live next to a brand new school just built and the speed is do with the location of the UFB infrastructure (according to the chorus bloke next door).

UFB speeds have nothing to do with location (unlike copper). You would get the very same speed whether you're next to a school or 3km from that school.

You are on a standard Gigabit plan and the 1005 is merely a flaw in whatever test you were using. All you need is a standard Gigabit switch that you can get from any retailer starting at about $20 or so for a 5 port.
