I have my TH55 set up to share my desktop internet connection. There is no problem with this, I am very happy with it and in fact, I can be some number of rooms away from my desktop and the connection still works fine. I use the supplied Netfront and find it quite useful.

So, I wanted to get round to setting up Clie Mail and have entered the details of the email account I want to access. However, when checking for email all I get is the message "SMTP:Unable to Connect. Check server name and port number." I have done this several times just to make sure I'm not going mad, but these are as they should be. Any ideas?

What type of connection are you using? Are you using WiFi/BT to a home LAN, or GPRS/Mobile JS?

I'm using a Belkin Bluetooth USB Dongle which is therefore configured as a LAN connection.

How have you set up Internet access? Are you using NAT or a proxy (or other)?

Yes, internet access is shared with my desktop via bluetooth. On my Clie I use the supplied software Netfront 3.1 and this works with nio problems.
