I'm a new member and will state from the start that I have limited knowledge when it comes to modems and routers.

I currently have the standard thomson tg585v8 that came when I signed up to telecom.
All of my ethernet ports seem to be dead but the wireless is still working.

Because of this I am in need of a new modem/router or a easy to set up and sub $250 standalone modem and standalone router setup with good wireless capability.

My main uses for it are/will be 3 mobile devices, 1 iPad, a laptop for netflix and general surfing and a gaming pc that also uses netflix.

I also have friends over from time to time so the ability to service 3 pc's would be advantageous.

Any help would be appreciated.
