Hello, I have a suspected failure of DNS resolution i.e .suspect server.
Can anyone suggest a tool that can perform lookups continuously to the server (just like continuous nslookups) that I can monitor over time to see if and when failures are occurring ?

thanks for any advice.

Smokeping, if you've got a Raspberry Pi sitting around you can get it running on that.

Google ippatrol

Cheap enough for hourly testing that IMHO you'd have rocks in your head to roll your own.
