I am looking for a new USB Wifi Adapter. Can anyone recommend any reliable ones?

I see that some come with USB 3.0 vs 2.0. Any real world differences in terms of internet speed?

What sort of wifi router do you have?

I bought one of these for my raspberry pi and have had no issues with it.
Very cheap solution.

If your router supports 802-11ac then rather go for a usb adapter that supports it. Something like this

My advice is to stick with a reasonably reputable brand, I have seen quite a few issues in the past with cheap ones.

I'd aim for a USB 3.0 one there isn't a big price jump.

My understanding is that the max speed would be determined by USB 2.0 if your network runs faster than 480mbps

My modem is pretty old, n standard. However, I am also looking to upgrade that eventually to dual band ac.

Some adapters are tiny. I am assuming those may have poorer speed / range?

Yeah, the USB 3.0 one is about 40% more expensive.

Any particular brands you would trust?
