I recently bought these http://www.elive.co.nz/tp-link-pa8010pkit-av1200-gigabit-powerline-starter-kit.php and I'm really pleased with them. I was hoping to find out if I want another PL connection, do I have to buy another pair, and sacrifice another socket in the room where my router is, or are there single adaptors with that speed available, to add to the network where required?

If I read this correctly, you want to add another powerline? You can just buy one (usually they come in pair) and add to the network easily.

I have 3 of them, one near the router, and two at different locations.

You should be able to additional devices (one at a time) to the network. Thats how Powerline normally works.

ie one is the 'master' the others are the clients. You can have one master with many clients.

You would just need to make any additional devices were the same spec to get best speed. Theoretically you could buy slower single units to add on - but might be best not to mix.

Not sure if you can buy single units easily with that model. If you bought another pair you could have 1 connected to your router and 3 power points with ethernet of course.
