Hi everyone

I have a new Nokia 6820 and am trying to use Nokia PC Suite by connected via Bluetooth.

I have a USB Bluetooth device which I plug into my laptop and I know works successfully as I connect my PDA to it.

I have told nokia pc suite that the bluetooth is on com port 5 and have managed to successfully pair the phone with the PC, however, whenever I make a connection, this bluetooth connection lasts for about 5 seconds and then self disconnects with no error message. At no point does Nokia PC Suite recognise the phone as being connected to the laptop (it is the bluetooth device itself that recognises the connection for this short period.

Can anyone shed any light on this situation?

Is this COM5 defined as an Incoming port (service?) If yes, you say that you connect your PDA to your computer. Is the program (Activesync or Hotsync) using the same COM5, or have you created a new port just for the PDA program?

The com port 5 is the incoming port and yes, I connect my PDA to that port and use activesync, I have a HP IPAQ.

I think that port will not be available to any other program while the ActiveSync is listening there. You may want to test this. Right-click the ActiveSync icon, select Connection Settings and uncheck the Serial connection.

Then configure the Nokia PC Suite to listen on this COM5 and try connecting the phone and see how it goes.

Hi

I have tried disabling the serial connection through active sync, but this does not seem to have had an effect, it is still disconnected after a few seconds
