I HAVE 2X 2K PC'S
BOTH HAVE BTOOTH BOTH CAN PING EACH OTHER VIA BTOOTH
MAIN PC CAN HIT INTERNET VIA ROUTER
REMOTE PC CAN NOT ACCESS THE INTERNET VIA BTOOTH THEN ONTO THE ROUTER.
CAN ANY ONE HELP?
IS THERE A BUG IN 2K ICS AS WHEN I SHARE THE LAN NIC GETS THE 192.168.0.1 ADDRESS,I CANGE THE LAN NIC TO ANOTHER ADDRESS AND THEN CHANGE THE BTOOTH TO GET THE 0.1?
ITS DRIVING ME MAD
I CAN MAKE THIS SETUP WORK IF I REMOVE ROUTER AND ADD AN ADSL MODEM THEN ICS ON THE DIALUP ADAPTOR AGAINST THE BTOOTH.( i NEED THE ROUTER AS HAVE OTHER BOX'S ON LAN.

There's a bug in W2K that sometimes the address on the sending NIC gets 192.168.0.1, when it should be in the receiving NIC.

To work, your configuration should be like this:

Server Computer connected to the router:

-

Client computer with Bluetooth:



On Server Computer make sure the ICS is enabled from to .

Also, make sure the DNS works: from the Client computer, after opening the My Bluetooth Places, right-click the icon corresponding to the other computer and select Connect to Network.

Then PING www.wired.com. If it resolves the IP address, all is fine. If not, change the adding the DNS server address there.

Make sure the Router is not handing out the 192.168.0.1 IP address used in the other nic, unless the Router is not in the same subnet (192.168.0.xxx).
