Hi

I purchased an Orbi RBK853 (Orbi 6) and updated it to the latest firmware which allows parental controls.

I have tried subscribing to parental controls using the Orbi app but each time I enter my credit card details and try to pay I get a message saying:

"New plan does not have a rate schedule with a currency matching the account's currency"

I've just noticed that Netgear has also charged my credit card 1 cent for every time I've tried to complete the purchase - not a lot in the scheme of things but I can only imagine how much they're collecting because of this error.

Netgear support is useless, including calling me at 3am and putting me on hold for 20 mins only to tell me they don't know what the issue is.

I've already told them my account is designated as a New Zealand account and that my credit card is in NZD.

Has anyone managed to buy a subscription to the parental controls subscription through the Orbi app / MyNetgear website. It definitely works as I was on a 1 month trial.

I had a similar problem with Armor/BitDefender on the Orbi but that was resolved by going directly to the BitDefender site.

Thanks in advance.

Interestingly the twice I have used Netgear's Orbi support they have been excellent and have asked what was a convenient time to call me.

Are they still using Circle for Parental Controls? That was the default for my previous generation Orbi. I trialled it, but hated it. Don't have any kids at home now anyway, so was never going to permanently subscribe, but gave it a try just to see how it worked.
