Hello all,

I've got a weird LAN problem with my 7590. I had fibre installed yesterday, switching from my previous DSL connection, which in itself has worked fine, but oddly the I'm no longer able to reach my two printers on LAN ports from Windows, although they still show up in the Fritz OS.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Can you ping the printers? There might be a setting in the router that affects it like uPnP or something. Also, under Home Network -> Network -> Your Device you could find your printer and enable "Enable Independent Port Sharing" - I'm not entirely sure what it does but it's worth a shot. Might be best to read the docs about what that does first.

Well, I've got almost everything working again, but switching from DSL to fibre (via the WAN port) seemed to properly upset the Fritzbox LAN connections, even though it still listed the various items of hardware as connected. I had to reset most of those connected gadgets on the network list, then uninstall and reinstall on Windows. One holdout is my old Sky+ HD box (connected by LAN cable). It no longer shows up on the Fritzbox and when I go into the box's own settings it shows an IP address which now belongs to one of the printers, so I'm not sure how to get round that one.

Power cycle Sky box and then give the Sky box and printers a static IP. Printers should always have static IPs.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I give all devices like printers static IPs, otherwise Windows complains it can't find them.
