Hi guys

im just a newbie on here but ive been trying to get some more info about home networking. Im in the process of purchasing a 4 port router modem from trademe for connecting my xbox and xbox 360 to my existing internet connection. Im have absolutely no idea what i expect to happen but im hoping if i can get some help from anyone on what i need to do? I wish to also know what i would need to do if i wanted to play files from my computer through the consoles. I know it may seem a bit much for a first post,lol,but i would great appreciate any help i can get, cause im going to need it lol

Its actually crazily easy so dont worry too much about it - my experience was essentially plug and play - once it is all networked, go into media settings on your pc and select share my media and choose what folders to share.

Once this is done if you go into videos on your xbox it should show your pc in there, so select that, choose your video and voila it should play.

If it doesnt you may need to download a pluin off xbox live that allows playback of certain file types
