Brand new, tested at my house no problem. Installed on my laptop and after about 30 seconds of being connected to a device and in use it locks up completely. As in the tray icon displays red like it isn't even connected to the pc. Already tried a uninstall/reinstall, no change.

Could it be a defective USB adapter?

How is the power management configured on the System Device List? It's a good itdea to uncheck the box that allows the OS to power down the USB port.

Is the USB port enabled in the BIOS?

Spoke with Tech support, decided it was defective. Very odd though, today it would work for a while, but if it locked up and I unplugged it and immediatly reinstalled it, it would only work for a short time like <1 min. If I left it unplugged for longer, like 10 min, it would work for over a half hour sometimes. Very bizzare!
Range was awesome though, connected to my laptop it went probably close to 50' and didn't have direct line of sight to my Bluetrek G2 headset (thru 3 walls!). The music I was listening to did degrade somewhat, but was still audible and understandable!
