Here gose guys,
i have a desktop pc, with a cable/etherent internet connection to the internet. I aslo just bought a zonet zew1600 PCI wireless pci cardzonet zew1600
I also have a Imate PDA2K. the wireless card has capabilities of doing both, infrastructure and Ad-Hoc features.
what i want to do is be able to browse the network and aslso use ICS to connect to the internet

my OS is XPpro sp2
do i need a router or AP, our is there anyway around this, since its a peer-to-peer scenario?

You can use an ad-hoc connection with the XP desktop and ICS... See this guide for help. Modify as needed...

Personally I would recommend a combination broadband router/wireless access point, if its in your budget, however. It just makes this all a bit easier, IMO... The Linksys WRT54G devices get good reviews... I use a Buffalo WBR-G54 on my home LAN...
