Hey guys, I've been racking my head on trying to figure out if its possible to use my SSM2 as a wireless wifi AP/extender in the hall. I've been reading a number of guides and I cant figure it out. My setup is currently ONT-->SSM3 using Skinny. I have a spare SSM2 and been meddling with the configuration to see if its even possible...I think the solution is farely simple but I think I'm missing a step somewhere.

Plug in to the a port of the 2nd device.  Not then an port or you’ll have two networks.

Turn off dhcp of the 2nd device as well.

up to you if you use the same ssid on the 2nd device.  But you. Won’t have proper Handoff.  I’ve done both back in the day.

It is possible, even shows up in the settings when they are “meshed” under devices

been awhile since I set one up this way but just get it roughly setup with same SSID, no dhcp etc then plug it in and it would detect another unit

I recall I had an issue where it overwrote my settings the first night because it decided master/slave were reversed but other than that it’s been running since with no complaints at my mothers place

Tried to follow advise from you both. But with the SSID being the same for both routers main and second. The hall connection wouldnt have a differentiation for the SSID. Imma try a different router lol that hopefully is easier. Thank you both though for trying
