I have a Dell Axim X30 with Bluetooth, The main Computer (Widnows xp HOme with sp2) was refomated on Friday, and I am just getting around to working on the bluetooth.

I have aready been into the device manager and now have the Linksys Bluetooth USB Adapter showing up under Bluetooth Devices.

I have now only one icon for the bluetooth, which is a bold blue with a white lighting bolt inside

When I remove the USB card, my bluetooth with the lightlight bolt turns red.

But I have two tv screens with a red X when I mouse over, it reads this .. "Bluetooth Network, a network cable is unpluged" when I right click
and open network connections under. " lan or high speed Internet" I see the bluetooth network, with a red X. the text under the icons reads this.
Network cable unplug, firewalled, Bluetooth Lan access server.
When I right click and go down to propeties in the first tab I have this

Connect using: Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver

This connection uses the following Items:

Items checked:
Clent for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
QoS Packet schedural
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

the next tab is Authentication
Checked itmes are

enable IEEE 802.1X authentication for this network
Eap type: Smart Card or other certifcate
Authenticat as computer when computer information is available

Under Advance tab

Nothing is checked.

Would anyone have a clue as to why this is not showing up?
Please keep in mind. I haven't a lot of clues to what I am doing...

OK, I don't know what I did, but I do have some of it working now..

I can now sync with the bluetooth, and I am able to file share..
but I cannot seem to hook up with the main computer, so I can view web pages.

I don't know if this will help or not, But we do have the main computer networked (hardwired) into a laptop that does share our internet connection.
(56K dial up)

I saw on how to connect to the network here:
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=833

But it doesn't tell me how to get to the screens shown or how to find the numbers needed.
then what I need to do with them once they have been found.

After 12 hours of work, I have bluetooth Sync, Files & Networked all working now.

Jeppers It better never go down again. or the next time it does, I will just throw it out the window and run over it!
