I just yesterday bought an iPAQ 1945 to replace an older 3800 series. I'm
using an almost new iPAQ universal synch/data cable to try to talk to the
new one with a GPS, in the same way that I did with the old one.
The problem that I'm having is that when I try to connect through the
serial (db9) connector of the universal cable to the iPAQ, the iPAQ thinks
that the GPS is a Bluetooth device. I've went into the Bluetooth manager
under settings and turned off (I think) all the servers and services to do
with Bluetooth, but that $^%#*& blue light is still blinking, and still no
GPS signal, even when trying all of the ports (1-8 are all that are
available).
The 3800 was a PocketPC 2002, and the 1945 is a PocketPC 2003, as that
may make a difference in the answer. :-)

Thanks,
Frank Looper

BTW, it was the 1945. There is no serial access whatsoever in the 1900 series.
