yes i have been through most of the guides

i even tried proxy software

both computers connect to the bluetooth network but cannot share the dsl connection

please advise

You should follow this guide. It will only failto work if there's a conflicting IP address on your network or a softyware firewall is blocking communications (Zone Alarm, Symantec NIS, or even the Windows SP2 firewall).

Check this article for some guidance on identifying problems in these connections.
