i have just got a new samsung d 500 and i want 2 upload games 2 it for that i need serial port i was using xtnd but theres no serial port optinal there 2 connect
so did i get widcomm drivers and softwares installed but i get 2 errors
1.. licience not {6}
2..when double clicked it says dongle not availabe check wheather if its conneected or not
i am using sp2
can any one help me plz or give me some bluetooth software names which would work grt with my dongle and having serial port connetion too

Welcome to Geekzone... If you are using Windows XP Service Pack you should try using the native Windows Bluetooth instead of installing Widcomm drivers not released for your specific device.

When you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2 the OS already provides Bluetooth drivers for most USB adapters. You can use these - not all profiles are supported, but serial port is present.

By the way, AFAIK the XtndConnect drivers do offer Serial Ports. you have to manually configure them.

ok now i have uninstalled the widcomm and got the bt mobile bluetooth software xtnd
the thing is i want 2 have a serial port connection throug the network connetion and then i wanna useuploader xxxx samsung uploader 2 upload games it sound a little difficult could u help me connect a serial port connection

You should be able to use the Serial Port created by the XTNDConnect Bluetooth during installation. When I tested it a year or so ago it create the following:



You access this dialog with Tools | Options. You can create new ones if you need too.

grt oh yeah.. i c that serial port but thats now excatelly my prob is
i wanna serial connect my mobile creating a host local area network i know how 2 creat a network but i dont c any mssg poping up allow device 2 serial connect wht should be done in xtnd case

well in other bluetooths u have a option directly 2 serial connect i dont c in xtnd except lan,dial.....
so wht now

Your phone will not join a LAN because it is not compatible. It can use a serial connection, but that's pretty much it.
