I got my nokia 7650 replaced today after loosing my old one and I'm trying
to re-install my bluetooth stuff.

I've got a Tecom USB Bluetooth Dongle 3030 and it always worked fine but
I've tried installing and re-installing it twice now and getting the same
problem.

When ever I boot up or try to load the software manually I get an error
saying "Unable to load bluetooth stack service" and the thing crashes, the
one time I did get it loading it detected the mobile device but wouldn't let
me connect, everything seems to be working hardware wise, everything seemed
to install fine and theres no product updates for it.

Anyone know why this might be happening or have a solution?

Are you getting an "MSI error..... message"? If so, I've seen this problem where the Windows Installer doesn't update the registry properly. I think there's another thread in the forums on such a problem.

It sound pretty much like your windows installation needs a refresh. You might try installing Windows again and then Bluetooth.

Nope. You'll need to backup your data and make sure you have your original CDs for reinstalling programs and other stuff if needed.

Jings, I've a sixty gig hard drive with about 5 gigs free and about 40 gigs of that is stuff I'd need to back up....would take bloody ages and tons of CDs.

you sure theres no way for me to be able to just 'repair' the install?

I'm using win2k pro
