I have installed a new 2wire gateway from Telecom into one of our offices and have struck an issue with adding a route to the routing table.
Just wanted to post it on here before I call Telecom just to get a 2nd opinion and to make sure I'm not going completely nuts.
It's a pretty basic setup:
Office in Auckland:
192.168.66.0/24
Existing Telecom One Office Router to other branch offices on 192.168.66.1
Office in Palmerston North:
172.28.0.0/19
Telecom One Office Router 172.28.1.16
I've installed the 2wire ADSL gateway in the Auckland office on the IP 192.168.66.21
I want to add a route on the 2wire gateway to the Palmerston North subnet:
172.28.0.0 mask 255.255.224.0 gateway 192.168.66.1
but... it seems buggy. I add the route once and two entries appear in the routing table, one correct and one incorrect. The route does not work and I cannot ping from the 2wire through to the Palmerston North subnet.
I add the static route:

The route adds correctly but a second incorrect entry also appears:

The route does not work:

What do you guys think? Bug in the 2wire router?
Yes, the 2wire can ping the Telecom Router on 192.168.66.1
Cheers.
