Is there anyone out there who can help setting up a Cisco SRW2024P, and what would you charge?

We want to set up QoS / CoS for all traffic

It needs setting up for a home business in the Upper Hutt area.

What sort of throughput have you got to want any form of QoS on it?

The main concern is voip traffic.
They are connected via a TCL 10/2 connection, there are times during the day where they have large amounts of FTP traffic being uploaded.

Reconfiguring the switch is the least of the worry. You really need to be looking at the router.

The router is a WRVS4400N, with a SPA9000, SPA502G and WIP310 also connected. Plus several workstations.

You need to configure QoS in the router... And also accept that the SPA9000 is a total piece of rubbish and will deliver pain and anguish some time in the future if it hasn't already.

What problems do the 9000 cause? Ive just got one so I can remove my asterisk machine and have all voip providers ring to one phone.

They are just full of bugs which Linksys never bothered fixing.

Ports 5060-5070 both up and down get high priority? Anything else you would recommend?

You need to add your RTP port range as well.

The range is set on your device, on the spa9000 its on the sip tab of the admin advanced stuff.

You can narrow the range somewhat since if you are just using port based QOS there is a chance that somthing else on the lan may end up using those ports for something and get higher QOS that they dont deserve.

Port 5060 is SIP. You then have the RTP (audio) that is carried on different ports.

The best way is to use the DSCP or CoS tags from the SPA9000 and use the queue settings in the router. This is far better than using port cased stuff.

Does your VoIP gear set DiffServ tags already? You should be able to just set CoS priorities for anything over 010, or perhaps put your voip gear on a high priority subnet. Dont use any QoS that involves rate limiting if the router doesn't have enough CPU power. I found monowall was quite a good router for QoS.

Time to find a new industry!

Linksys VoIP hardware enables both DSCP and COS by default. RTP uses DSCP 0xb8 / 184 / 46 (depending in the format you need it in) and 5 for the COS. SIP uses DSCP 0x68 / 104 / 26 and 3 for the COS.

Right.. well thats beyond me.. I am not sure on how much knowledge the user has on it either.

If I've got time in the coming week, I'll try looking into it. Otherwise Steve, can I get someone to email you about it? Like I said, they live in the Hutt Valley, and would be happy to pay... depending on what you charge out ;)
