After reading through this forums, I've come across some great information, and I think I've managed to get most of what I need to in order to get this Bluetooth keyboard to work. The problem is.

I'm going to post what I did, hopefully, I'm not breaking any rules. Frustration is at a boiling point and I really want to get this keyboard to work under WinME, because I'm tired of using XP. On my system, WinME is about 100x faster than XP, and it would just be much nicer to have this ability and not have wasted my money on this keyboard/mouse combo.

Ok, so I downloaded the latest drivers from Dell's website. Dowloading the Acer files as well for the licencse. Uned the licencse from the Acers in the Dell installation, fine. It detected the MS Bluetooth Receiver. I then did the "hack" with the Hex editor changing the 3 values. From there, everything looked like it might work, but I'm not getting any sort of services listed in the menu, and it just won't detect the keyboard.

I'm at a loss here, is there something that I am missing?

I thought it was pretty straight forward, but I guess it wasn't.

This is starting to get on my nerves, but I will not let it get the best of me.

I'm off to bed, as my eyes are starting to bother me, and my head is hurting from all this thinking. Please, if you can help me.

Thanks in advance,
Oz

Sounds like the hack you used didnt work correctly. The first hack I made had this problem.
You dont mention which version of the drivers you are using or where you got the hack from.

I just got it from a website, using the 1.4.1.6 drivers from Dell's website, actually, I'm assuming they are that version. They tell you to download another version from Goalray, but the link is corrupted, and any other 1.4.1.6 drivers I find are password protected.

If you could send me an already hacked on, to michael_evers83@hotmail.com, or better instructions/downloads, I would greatly appreciate it.

Later,
Oz
