Hi all,

thanks for you attention :)

I'm getting really frustrated. Everything worked fine, but my iPAQ crashed, I had to do a HARD reset :(, and I've reinstalled WinXP on my computer. Now ActiveSync still works fine, USB and BlueTooth ActiveSync. But My PocketIE won't get connected anymore...

Not if connected to USB, not if connected to ActiveSync Bluetooth, not if connected to BT Network Access...

When docked in USB or connected to ActiveSync BT, RemoteAmpCE works fine, over Network Access it doesn't...

I've checked the "Things to check if Internet Connection Sharing or ActiveSync via Bluetooth is not working" and the tutorials, but nothing helped...

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Since you've reinstalled everything and it seems that it worked before it's certain a configuration problem. What about the built in Windows XP firewall? Is it on?

Does the connection complete ok and is up when you try browsing?

Do you ahve the right IP address on the Bluetooth network interface on your computer?

If you install VxUtil, are you able to ping your computer (192.168.0.1) and if yes, are you able to ping any other machines (like www.wired.com)?

I'll just answer your questions step by step and I hope you can tell me more.
The reason I think it's not 'just a configuration problem' is because I can't even browse the internet over USB through ActiveSync.

Anyway, the answers:
The built in firewall (XP) is turned off.

The connection seems to complete succesfully (all three ways)

The IP address on the BT network interface is 192.168.0.1
Only TCP/IP protocol is installed (And Client for MS-network. File and printer sharing and QoS)

When using ping over the BT Network Access connection I get 100% bad. And it seems to ignore the timeout and the Delay... :S

When using ActiveSync over BT I get 100% bad too, but it seems to wait for the timeout.
(I've tried to ping 192.168.0.1, the hostname and my local computer's network IP address)

I hope you can help me out...
