Hi there i have 2 routers setup with the same ssid and the same security key but on different channels.

I use UltraVNC at home and i am having issues with my network setup

When i am connected to either router i can connect to any pc that is plugged into either router via ethernet cable using VNC and i can see them on my network

But to connect to a laptop that is wirelessly connected to either router i have problems and i also cant see them in the network
e.g

i am connected to router 1 wirelessly and another laptop is connected to router 2 wirelessly i cannot access it via VNC or see it in my network

When we are both connected to router 1 or router 2 then i can access it using vnc and see it in my network

i have the plug on my router going from the lan port on router 1 to the lan port on router2

what is the problem?

You sure you are on the same ethernet segment? what you describe would (should?) only happen if you have NAT in the wireless routers getting in the way, if they are all wired up lan to lan with dhcp disabled on all but the adsl router it should work sweet as. I have 3 routers here like that, and can see everything from everywhere - roaming between them is a bit hit and miss, but thats to be expected on mismatched consumer networking gear.

assuming both wireless machines have IPs in the same range, ping the gateway and then do an arp -a in the command prompt of the computers and check the mac address for the gateway, it should be the same for all computers wired or wireless. If they are different, then you have some nat happening.
