hey guys so i need your suggestion and tip in resolving a conflict arising in the lan

ok so there are two antamedia hotspots softwares running in the same wired LAN( campus hostel lan )
things are ok when you are loging in and your default gateway and dns is set to my servers ip address

but when you try to access the logout or info by typing the keywords (LOGOUT / INFO) in the addreess bar sometimes you are redirected to the other antamedia instead of mine.

what can i do to to resolve tis conflict

The DNS server needs to be set to the correct antamedia server.
I cant remember if WIndows - ICS or Antamedia have a DNS relay built in - pretty sure they do. But anyhow i expect the http://logout is just a dns query for the domain logout that antamedia responds to.

Alternativley see if you can find out what the address of the logout page is and use the auctual ip address. Usually you can find this out by hovering your mouse over a logout button in the client web interface and look at the address bar.

So it might be http://logout auctually redirecting to http://192.168.1.1/logout.asp or something like that.

Antamedia is known for all sorts of stability problems.
Although I know alot about it, I would never recomend anyone use it.

Firstspot hotspot is a much better choice for using as a hotspot or lan gateway.

I am not prepared to help with stability / crashing problems with antamedia. Its just a lost cause and usually there is no answer. You can try the antamedia forums and see if anyone there can help.

edit: My best solution to solving crashing problems has just been a fresh install of winxp pro with SP2, using the built in ICS sharing and then installing antamedia over the top without using antamedias inbuilt NAT or DHCP. Then dont install anything else on the pc and keep it as a dedicated box.

You should not be trying to crack software. That is illegal.
DO NOT DISCUSS CRACKING SOFTWARE ON THESE FORUMS.

You can get a trial from their website http://www.patronsoft.com/firstspot/
