Hi guys i have a D-Link DIR-600 Flashed with DD-WRT and i am having prblems with it as it isnt quite what my network needs.

I have been trying to reset the firmware back to the default D-Link firmware by uploading the old firmware but the upload keeps failing.

I have my pc wired to it when doing the upload but it always fails

What is the problem?

It is likley that uploading the old firmware is causing the Dlink to run out of memory. DD-WRT will usually go on by using the built in bin file uploader in the dlink firmware, but going back is usually tricky.

I am surprised a dlink auctually took it.

What you will need to do is upload the old firmware using the TFTP firmware recovery mode if the device supports it. If dlink dont publish these instructions at the support / firmware downloads site at dlink.co.nz then it may be something only they can do in the factory.

See if google helps by searching for something like model# factory "firmware recovery"
