Hi-

Let me begin by mentioning that I found some very useful information here, this is great site!

I want to share a hint on how to disable the secure connection option on network access between two devices.
The secure connection option forces a authentication promt on every first connection.
My server sometimes has no display attached to it, so I needed to get rid of this authentication process.
I did this for my Laptop and PC, however it should work with a PDA/Cell as well.

The procedure is quite simple. Hit the Windows START button, choose RUN and type in "regedit".
In the Registy Editor navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\Services\0002

Now change the settings for Authentication and Authorization from 1 to 0.

voila, you're all set....

Good stuff. I've used this myself when installed a Widcomm Beta 1.4 - it's not nice to be in another room and have to rush to your computer just to enter the PIN every time you start a connection.
