Greetings and Happy New Year wishes all the way from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico.

Yesterday (@ my local CompUSA) I bought a D-Link BT adapter (the DBT-120). It came with v1.4.1 of the WIDCOMM driver. Installation was relatively easy. My PC recognizes my other BT devices (Siemens S56 and Palm Tungsten T3).

The problem comes when I tried to access the Internet through my (Dial-Up) connection. I did the configuration process just like you guys showed on the guides. But no matter what Palm connections can't see the DNS server adress. However it acepts the IP adress provided by the Bluetooth Network. I tried everything, even disabling ZoneAlarm to no avail.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

You don't say if this is for any software or only Web Pro. If it's on the web browser, try removing the proxy settings. Disconnect, soft reset the Palm and try again.

I was in a little bit of hurry when I worte the first message. My bad for the lack of more details.
To re-capitulate:

1. Palm Tungsten T3 succesfully paired with PC via D-Link DBT-120 Adapter.
2. Dial -Up Connection set to ICS (This Dial-Up get its IP and DNS addresses automatically).
3. Bluetooth Network Connection TCP/IP set to:

IP Address: 192.168.0.1
SNM: 255.255.255.0
DNS Server: 196.28.61.36
196.28.61.66 (my local ISP's)

4. On my Tungsten T3:

Service

Connection type: PPP
Idle Timeout: NEVER
Primary DNS 192.168.0.1
IP Address: Automatic

Enabled script:
Send: CLIENT
Send: CLIENT
Wait for: CLIENTSERVER
End

Connection "Bluetooth to LAN"
Connect to: Local Network
Via: Bluetooth
Device: [My PC]
Speed: 115,200 bps
Flow Ctl: Automatic

5. Sequence result:
Tungsten T3 connected to Bluetooth Network Acess on the PC
LCP Up
IPCP Up
Service Name: Bluetooth Internet
Local IP Address: 192.168.0.5
Gateway Address: 0.0.0.0
DNS Addresses: 192.168.0.1

Ping Test: ping microsoft.com [14.0.0.234]
Ping Result: Error timeout (0x1212): time=10ms
Error timeout (0x1212)

Since yesterday, know the Palm connection gets an auto IP address and a DNS address but the Palm apps reports the same DNS error, WebPro, Versamail.

This is exactly my situation, same setup, same error message which still stands unresolved. There must be something missing here. I've been through every BT help site on the net and haven't found the answer yet. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi!
My Tungsten T does the same evill things. I tried the connetion on two different PCs with two different Buetooth dongles. But It won't work! There must be an error in my config on the palm. The DNS works fine but there is no traffic coming through. I am able to pin my Computer but not any other machine. All web applications time out.

Can anybody help?

If the DNS can resolve the names, then check the proxy settings on your WebPro browser.
