Hi, I am trying to have multiple devices, i.e. Nokia 6600 Phone(Serial Connection), Ipaq 5450(Serial Connection) & a Lexmark Printer(Bluetooth Serial Connection) all working on my laptop. My question is, how do i get all these profiles to work?? Is it possible, do I need to setup different serial connections for each device. currently the only one that works is my phone, although not every time. I have tried to setup my ipaq which I can pair with my laptop but it will not active sync, I can see it trying as my active sync software flashes briefly that it is connecting, but also so does my nokia software flash briefly as it detects a device....

How would I do this please???

You can add more serial ports services, but it's a little bit of work. Connect your Pocket PC to ActiveSync using the first port. Based on your description you have the ActiveSync and mRouter listening the same port. Make sure the mRouter is not listening any port!

Then, when Activesync over Bluetooth still active, create new serial port service and configure the mRouter to listen this new port. Try connecting, and it should connect to the available port.

The printer will not use these service ports, but a client port. You can create a new one in the local services tab, manually connect to the printer, then configure the printer driver to always use the new port. This way it'll keep the other port available to initiate the Symbian connection (which is always initiated from the laptop).

Hiya, Here is my current setup looking at the various devices.

TDK Bluetooth Software - Local Services - Com6
TDK Bluetooth Software - Client Applications - Com8
TDK Bluetooth Software - Serial Port Link - Com9

Nokia datasuite on Laptop - Com6

Active Sync on Laptop - Com6

Active Sync on Ipaq - Inbound COM Port - Com5
Active Sync on Ipaq - Outbound Com Port - Com8

I am assuming that the Nokia Phone is using Com8 when reconnecting to the bluetooth Serial Port

Both of these connections work perfectly when used independently, but not concurrently

How would you suggest I proceed, to have them working together please

Don't worry about any port on your iPAQ, nothing to be changed there.

You say the ActiveSync and mRouter both listen to the COM6 and that your phone and Pocket PC both work ok, but not at the same time.

This is because both are trying to use the same COM6 port. This is the port which incoming connections will use, unless you follow the steps I've posted before.

Hiya, Just an update.....Still struggling to get any further with this, could I ask for some step by step idiots guide to performing this? I am trying to get a Bluetooth Printer, Bluetooth Activesync and Bluetooth Nokia 6600 all to work at the same time??

If the printer is using Serial instead of BIP (which is most likely these days), then you'll not be able to open simultaneous connections to your mobile phone - some software handle multiple LAN connections, but only one of each other type simultaneously. Unless you're trying to connect at different times, when the other device is not connected.

When this is clarified then we can try something else. But I recommend going back to my first answer and give it a try again.
