Anyone else get a smelly wrist band?

Maybe I'm not used to leather bands but I sure have a funky smelling watch after a couple months use

At least you can replace it with most other watch bands of similiar size

I hate material bands of any type. Anything that absorbs sweat. Metal or nothing for me.

Must admit I don't wear my GWR much these days. I find its daylight performance inferior to my SW3. It still looks better than the SW3 and is much brighter in active mode. But since I spend half my time at work outside with sunglasses on, the SW3 and its trans-reflective display just make it more usable for me. With the duller days of winter coming on that may see the GWR get more use.
Had to laugh a couple of days ago though when a workmate saw my SW3 and asked if it was an Apple Watch.

There is a bit of discussion that the G watch R may actually have GPS. It will be great to get wifi. Wear is certainly moving along.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I'm still wearing my G Watch R daily, and yea I changed my mind Wifi would be great, I'm often just outside of the reach of the watch's Bluetooth connection

Apparently you don't even have to be on the same Wifi network to have connectivity too...

With all that extra hardware turned on, you better have an extra charge cradle in your pocket to keep it running!

You'd imagine there will be an opportunity to turn it off...

No WiFi for the LG G Watch R. Apparently they didn't include the antenna! LG just didn't install them. Bugger (says dog lying flat in the mud)

ETA:
LG G Watch, G Watch R, ASUS ZenWatch: no Wi-Fi for you

All Android Wear watches have Wi-Fi chips, but some won’t get Wi-Fi support

WiFi will be turned off because it will not pass SAR testing (specific absorption rate).  Bluetooth class 1 is borderline, WiFi is a fail.

Urbane is shipping in US, so would hope that software update for G Watch R is coming soon.

There is a lot of contradicting reports of Wifi support, I am going to wait for the update to see...

Ahh after having a bad time with the watch glitching out like mad, I read the wrong support doc and pressed in the hole at the back of the watch...which I think might be a MIC.  anyone know what exactly it is?

Figure my watch isn't waterproof anymore and will need to be dismantled

I think it's the barometer.
