Long time Eufy user here, 6 cameras & homebase 2, system works very well.
Pop! OS
I have 2 x Eufy 2C systems - one at home (Pro - 2K) and one at the bach (Standard - 1080p). Thay are great - I can easily control both systems from the same app with the easy to use interface.
Battery life on the cameras has been phenomenal - around 9 months on a charge. Of course to get that longevity, you need to have all the settings correct.
For me, we have the system setup to only trigger recording when we are not at home (or when in bed), and we have the motion detection set right in the sweet spot - records when it detects humans but not wayward cats etc. Also have it setup so that if one camera detects motion, all cameras on the property immediately start recording so as not to miss anything.
All in all very happy, but keen to see/hear reviews on the new Homebase 3 and 4K cameras.

My understanding is that all existing products are compatible with Homebase 3, and it's the Homebase 3 that does the AI magic (so my existing 2C cameras should be able to recognise peoples' faces), but I'd need to read a bit more about it.
Not all products are compatible with the HomeBase 3 yet. This is the current compatibility list and compatibility schedule:
https://support.eufy.com/s/article/Centralize-Your-Security-Ecosystem-with-HomeBase-3
What is interesting is the Solo cams like the S40, which aren't compatible with any HomeBase right now, will be with the HomeBase 3. This could remove one of the major drawbacks with those solo cams, which is if the camera is stolen you lose the footage.
Thanks for that, I wasn't aware of the Homebase 3 working with the standalone Floodlight from next month. Good news.
I have 2 x Pro 2C and a Floodlight. Like everyone else I like the Eufy eco-system and have recommended to friends and colleagues who have gone on to install their own systems and have been happy.
Hmmm, so as cool as the Homebase 3 and cams look, not willing to be guinea pig with mum.
Will look for Homebase 2 systems.
Thanks for your honest reviews.

But looking for something for my mum's rural property.
Her neighbours got burgled last weekend, so I've got to make a move on this sooner than later.
Battery WiFi cameras are not going to be useful to capture events further away than 12m.
Just like motion sensor flood lights, they use PIR sensors to pick up motion. Then wake up from hibernation, connect to the base station and then start recording.
You buy consumer stuff for the ease of use and great application. I can guarantee you that there is not a consumer grade 4K battery WiFi camera with >1/1.8" cmos for decent night clarity.
Take into account the WiFi range of these cameras in a rural property as well.
I did a brief review some time ago of the Eufy 2C cameras and also the Eufy doorbell cam at https://www.homespace.nz/2022/08/eufy-security-camera-and-doorbell-review.html
They do work well. One of annoying things recently is that when you now open the app, there is a splash screen advert for the new homebase 3 which delays you accessing the app and disabling the alarm or cameras. Not sure if this advert can be turned off or not, but I haven't found a way. The new homebase 3 and 4k cameras do look good but they are currently very expensive. I do wonder how long the older cameras will continue to be supported for by them.
Bung:scuwp: and in the end communications with Eufy revealed they had a firmware problem.
So having admitted that there was a problem did Eufy ever update the firmware or do new models mean the old get frozen?
Nope. Offered me 15% off my next Eufy purchase, they were empathetic enough, but ultimately useless. Social media was awash with disgruntled customers. I could have taken them back to the store under warranty/CGA (the joys of buying in NZ), but to be honest I had lost the will to spend anymore time on it.
The cameras still capture far to much they shouldn't such that I can't have the alerts on otherwise it will be going off all day, but would rather that than it miss anything. Have not had the sudden stoppages for a very long time. So overall I think one of the firmware updates has improved things.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
I have a Eufy spotlight camera on my driveway and it's been excellent.
Easy set-up. Installed where the old security light was, so wiring was easy.
I'm not home at the moment, as we're having renovations done, but I am keeping an eye on the comings and goings of the tradies - absolutely top notch.
100% recommend

Can you only access the videos via the app?
I don't see mention of PC access??

I've only ever used the app to access videos/feed - never occurred to me to go about it in any other way...

It is really only via the app when I tried. I think you can access a live feed via their website, but it isn't very good.
The my eufy website does let you sign in and stream, but it times out after a reasonably short while. App is easiest by far.
Thanks, good to know.
