What % does your mirobot battery get down to before returning to charge?

Mine seems to be 20%, which is annoying because 10-15 more minutes and the house would be done.

Has anyone ordered one of the gen 2 units from Dick Smith? Their website seems a little unclear about whether or not the price paid includes GST/duties or not - when you try to check out it says GST is included, but it also shows a warning saying additional import taxes might be due. So wondering if anyone here has tried this?

@kiwifidget

Believe me, you have to trust the manufacturer to get the battery charging right. Ever seen a lithium battery go up? If not, google it.

Can you not just do the house in stages?

@linw , I do the house in stages, its the only option I have.

It would be great if could get the house done in one go though.

But they also say 2.5 hrs runtime, but its really only 2hrs, coz it goes back to the dock to recharge around then.

So after much back and forth with their support people, I managed to confirm that the same thing applies to stuff ordered directly from their website - they confirmed that this is all tax and duty inclusive. A bonus outcome was that in between times the price dropped from $739 to $679 inc GST shipped for this model...

That's not bad.

I just put in the order for v1 for 399 maybe i should ask if I can pay the difference. Not sure if it's worth another $280. I think it's probably not as we don't have a thick rug.

I just received mine last night (Version 1). The app is in English, but I can't see any option to change the language pack to English on the vacuum, though searching indicates it should be available. Any pointers on what I might be doing wrong?

It's in the app under Vacuum Settings/Voice Pack.

I only have one in there currently, it's a Chinese gentleman with a mic with two backup singers behind him. Pulling it down triggers a refresh but no additional packs appear. Does it matter which region I have set for my profile? I have tried 'Other', 'United States (US Server)' and 'Europe'.

Ah yes after posting, I found @reven on page 12 of this very thread said this is a requirement for the English pack. That's intuitive undecided

OK, time to give something back to this thread. If you try to update the firmware on your Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum from Mainland China while using a Pi-hole you are going to have a bad time. Finally after disabling the Pihole I have been able to successfully update the unit and enable the English voice pack. How nice not to have the Chinese lady yelling at me from the dining room when the firmware update fails for the 20th time. Tomorrow will be it's maiden voyage to discover the nooks and crannies of the house!
